Learn how to install FREE Xcotton on Shopify in just a few minutes. In this step-by-step guide, we’ll show you how to install Xcotton and get your post-purchase protection set up for your store, including shipping protection, product protection, extended warranty, delay care, and more.

Installation Guide

  1. Download Xcotton Gard on Shopify App Store

Search for Xcotton Guard in the Shopify App Store and add the app to your store.

  1. Enable embed

Click Enable, then select Start Application to enable the app embed.

  1. Select plan

Choose Shipping Protection or Product Protection for your storefront.

  1. Sign agreement

Review the Service Terms and accept the agreement.

  1. Enter business info

Enter the business and account information required for your application.

  1. Add components

Choose Automatic Placement, or manually add protection components to your theme.

  1. Wait for review

Submit the application and wait for review, which typically takes 1–3 business days.

  1. Go live

Enable the approved service and start offering protection to your customers.

Configure Protection Service

  1. Manage service status

1.1 Go to Overview page

1.2 Use the toggle switch to enable/disable each protection service

    • Active: Service is live
    • Disabled: Service temporarily paused
  1. Customize display

2.1 Go to Configuration page

2.2 Select Shipping Protection or Product Protection tab

2.3 Modify display options and settings

2.4 Click Save Configuration

  1. Verify Setup

3.1 Click Run Check on Overview page

3.2 Verify all items pass. Contact support if any checks fail:

    • Embed available
    • Block available
    • Shipping Protection product available
    • Product Protection product available
    • Theme normal
